About the Role
As an independent contractor (1099), you will be responsible for meeting deadlines, attending meetings, and upholding state requirements. To ensure your success, we provide comprehensive training, clear policies, helpful templates, and useful trackers. Independent contractors will be in charge of their own schedule and caseload, and there are no minimum billing requirements. Your work will be audited quarterly based on state requirements. This role is partly remote, as you will work from home completing required documents, planning, and billing. You will also hold 1:1 direct sessions with clients in their homes or in the community. Reliable transportation is required to travel to client homes and transport clients as needed for sessions. We run billing cycles and payroll every 2 weeks, so you will receive bi-weekly paychecks. A minimum of 1 year of Behavior Consulting experience is required at this time. Requirements
Qualifications:
To be approved to provide behavioral support services as a Level 2 clinician, an applicant shall meet the following requirements:
Either:
Have a master’s degree in:
clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, or another applied health service area of psychology;
special education;
social work; or
Counseling;
or
be a licensed marriage and family therapist licensed under IC 25-23; or
be a licensed clinical social worker under IC 25-23; or
be a licensed mental health counselor under IC 25-23;
or
have a master’s degree in a human services field and be able to demonstrate to the BDDS behavior management committee that the individual has either coursework in or five (5) years of experience in devising, implementing, and monitoring behavior support plans;
or
Meet all of the following requirements:
Have a bachelor’s degree.
Be employed as a behavioral consultant on or before September 30, 2001, by a provider of behavioral support services approved under this article.
Be working on a master’s degree in psychology, special education, or social work.
By December 31, 2004, complete a master’s degree in clinical psychology, school psychology, or another applied health service area of psychology, special education, or social work.
Be supervised by a Level 1 clinician.
All providers must comply with any applicable FSSA/BDDS service standards, guidelines, policies and/or manuals including the FSSA/DDRS Waiver Manual.
This position is essential for fostering positive behavioral changes in clients while promoting their overall well-being through dedicated support and professional expertise.
Responsibilities:
Complete documents required by the state including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Behavior Support Plans (BSP), Quarterly Reports (QR), Incident Reports (IR). Update as required (quarterly/yearly) or as changes occur.
Maintain documentation in the correct location, BDDS portal and HIPAA protected work files.
Plan and implement recurring 1:1 Behavior Therapy sessions with the client in home or in the community.
Attend quarterly team meetings for consumers. Behavior consultants are encouraged to attend all quarterly meetings, but are required by the state to attend the annual quarterly (Q3) team meeting in person and the semi-annual quarterly (Q1) team meeting either in person or virtually, for each client.
Train parents and client team on BSP and any additional training deemed necessary by the team or behavior consultant.
Behavior consultants will work and collaborate with the IST as necessary or required.
Behavior consultants will make their own schedule and be in charge of planning their own sessions and meetings with their consumers.
Complete direct and indirect billing notes.

As active behavior consultants, the founders also carry their own caseloads and will be working directly with individuals alongside you.
